Lina’s interests focus on the intersection of Italian studies and linguistics, particularly as it pertains to translation, dialectology, and the relationship between language and identity. Lina is a Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholar (college and graduate) and a Questbridge Scholar. She received her BA from Haverford College with a double major in Linguistics and Transnational Italian Studies, and her MSt from the University of Oxford in the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology, and Phonetics. Lina’s love for language learning extends beyond Italian as well; In addition to studying Italian, she has studied Slavic languages as a Melikian Center Fellow in Macedonian Language Study (2020) and in Russian Language Study (2021)
