Event
When racial laws were enacted in Italy in September 1938, the Calabis fled to France and then to the United States. Tullia, who studied philosophy and music in Milan, Paris and New York, became a renowned journalist and writer. Eugenio, after studying at MIT and Princeton, became an important mathematician. On the first anniversary of Tullia’s death, join us for this event, in which we celebrate Remembrance Day with Eugenio Calabi as he talks about his family’s experience on Fascism and World War II, his life, and the memory of his sister.
