Amici Prize

The Center for Italian Studies at Penn is pleased to announce the 2024/2025 Amici Prize, originally established in 1993. 

This year's award offers Penn undergraduates the unique opportunity to intern during the Summer of 2025 at Teatro delle Albe, a renowned theater company based in Ravenna, Italy. Students will collaborate with internationally acclaimed artists Ermanna Montanari and Marco Martinelli, gaining professional experience in arts administration, acting, stage management, costume making, and other business and artistic skills. Additionally, they will have the chance to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Ravenna, a UNESCO heritage site.

The awarded sum is up to $3,000. Candidates must submit a letter of application (no more than 1500 words) to prof. Eva Del Soldato(link sends email) by January 31, 2025. Your letter should include your reasons for applying, relevant course background, and any additional experience.
