In spring 2014, students of Italian will have the opportunity to join the Italian Book Club to read and discuss short Italian novels, such as Amara Lakhous' Divorzio all'islamica a viale Marconi and other works by contemporary Italian authors, under expert guidance from lecturer Rita Pasqui, Cultural Officer of the Consulate General of Italy in Philadelphia.

The readings will present students with the opportunity to improve their knowledge of Italian, enrich their vocabulary, and deepen their understanding of Italian culture by discussing engaging topics as they practice Italian conversation in a friendly environment and experiment with newly acquired linguistic structures in a full immersion Italian class. Strongly recommended for Intermediate and Advanced students.

The Italian Book Club will meet on Wednesdays 5-6:30pm in 318 Williams Hall.
