Colloquium: William Connell on Machiavelli (Van Pelt 625)

We are delighted to welcome Professor William Connell, the Joseph and Geraldine La Motta Chair in Italian Studies at Seton Hall University. A specialist in Italian and Italian American History, and European history in general (with particular concentrations in medieval and Renaissance intellectual history, humanism, social history and statebuilding), Prof. Connell has translated Machiavelli's Il principe into English for Bedford/St. Martins (2nd rev., 2016). His talk is entitled:
