Prof. Stefania Benini, Undergraduate Chair of Italian, has won Harvard's prestigious Lauro de Bosis Postdoctoral Fellowship aimed at supporting research in any aspect of Italian culture, history, and society. As a recipient of the fellowship, prof. Benini will hold the Lauro de Bosis Lectureship in the History of Italian Civilization at Harvard University for 2014-2015. The post will give her the opportunity to finish the manuscript for her new book, Child, Woman, Rebel: Paradigms of Resistance in Italian Women's Cinema in the New Millennium, and to teach a course on the subject in spring 2015. We are sorry that she will leave Penn but we congratulate her on her splendid achievement!
