Stefania Benini wins Harvard’s Lauro de Bosis Fellowship

Image removed.Prof. Stefania Benini, Undergraduate Chair of Italian, has won Harvard's prestigious Lauro de Bosis Postdoctoral Fellowship aimed at supporting research in any aspect of Italian culture, history, and society.  As a recipient of the fellowship, prof. Benini will hold the Lauro de Bosis Lectureship in the History of Italian Civilization at Harvard University for 2014-2015.  The post will give her the opportunity to finish the manuscript for her new book, Child, Woman, Rebel: Paradigms of Resistance in Italian Women's Cinema in the New Millennium, and to teach a course on the subject in spring 2015.  We are sorry that she will leave Penn but we congratulate her on her splendid achievement!
