Will Noel, John T. Maltsberger III '55 Associate University Librarian for Special Collections at Princeton, and former Director of the Kislak Center and the Schoenberg Institute at Penn, passed away on April 30th. Will was a supporter of Italian Studies at Penn and, more importantly, a friend to many of us. The annual SIMS/Italian fellowship was the result of the synergy between Italian and Will and his wife, the amazing Lynn Ransom. Will also offered crucial support for the organization of the memorable residency of Carlo Ginzburg. He always loved to meet our prospective graduate students and communicate his passion for books. We will miss him dearly.
